Rival Cult Clash in Rivers State Leaves One Dead

A violent clash between rival cult factions in Rivers State resulted in the death of one individual. The incident took place along Abakiliki Street, where members of the Deybam cult group, specifically the Doggi and White Eagle factions, engaged in a territorial dispute over a young woman.

The situation escalated when gunmen arrived in a vehicle and opened fire, causing panic among residents and passersby. The victim was reportedly near a nearby shop when the attack occurred.

The Rivers State Police Command, represented by CSP Grace Iring Koko, confirmed the incident and stated that a manhunt for the attackers has been launched. CP Olugbenga Adepoju ordered the investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure security in the area.

The police are actively reinforcing their presence in the neighborhood as investigations continue.
