Wike: Rainbow Coalition to Align for 2027 Elections

Nyesom Wike, a political actor from Rivers State, stated that the Rainbow Coalition will align its strategies based on areas of electoral strength as they prepare for the 2027 elections. During an inspection tour of ongoing infrastructure projects in Abuja, Wike emphasized the importance of assessing electoral realities.

He dismissed any attempts to associate him with the screening process of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating he is not a member of the APC and is unaware of the details surrounding their screening. Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace of ongoing infrastructure projects in the Federal Capital Territory, noting several projects are scheduled for inauguration during Bola Ahmed Tinubu's third anniversary celebrations.

He mentioned that contractors are making progress on various projects, including the Kei Road project and the M5 Road project, with streetlight installations expected to be completed by the end of May.
