Wike: No Elective Position Without Rainbow Coalition

Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State, declared that individuals cannot attain any elective position in Rivers State unless they are part of the Rainbow Coalition. This statement was made during a luncheon held in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Wike expressed gratitude towards Tony Cole, who recently withdrew from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship race to join the Rainbow Coalition. Wike emphasized the importance of this coalition for political relevance in Rivers State, indicating that it is essential for anyone aspiring to positions such as governor, senator, or local government chairmanship.

He also mentioned that Chief Ferdinand Alabraba, a leader in the coalition, would attend the next leadership meeting, further solidifying the coalition's influence in the state's political landscape.
