Road Infrastructure Vital for Economic Growth, Says Eze

At a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, Peter Eze, the Commissioner for Transport in Enugu State, reiterated the critical role of road infrastructure in driving economic growth and improving connectivity. He noted that an efficient road network is essential for facilitating trade and easing the movement of people and goods.

Eze highlighted a specific project, a 2.5-kilometer road linking three rural communities in Enugu State, which is nearing completion and is expected to significantly enhance access to education, healthcare, and local businesses. This project is part of Governor Peter Mbah's broader focus on sustainable infrastructure investment, which aims to strengthen rural-urban linkages and ultimately enhance livelihoods.

Eze clarified that the project is not personally funded but is facilitated through government channels to attract federal intervention, benefiting the community. He emphasized the importance of road infrastructure as a key pillar in the development strategy of Enugu State.
