SageCLE Promotes Ethics for Sustainable Business Growth

The Sage Center for Leadership Excellence (SageCLE) has called for entrepreneurs and business owners to prioritize ethics as a foundation for sustainability. At an event in Lagos, Mr. Mutiu Sunmonu, the Founder of SageCLE, stressed that ethical leadership is crucial for navigating challenges in business growth and performance.

He remarked on the importance of deep and conscious engagement in leadership, cautioning against confusing personal preferences with leadership capabilities. Dr. Chinwe, the Executive Director of SageCLE, added that leadership devoid of ethics equates to mere performance.

She pointed out that integrity, ethics, and accountability are vital for building a nation or business. Dr. Chinwe also noted that the lack of ethics education in schools contributes to Nigeria's stagnation.

SageCLE plans to initiate projects in schools to teach ethics, targeting the younger generation to foster a sense of direction and mentorship in business.
