Kano State Approves N20,000 Eid Package for Workers

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf approved a N20,000 Eid el-Kabir goodwill package for civil servants in the state, which encompasses all 44 local government areas. The announcement was made through a statement issued by Musa Tanko Muhammad, the press secretary in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, on Tuesday.

This gesture is intended to support workers ahead of the Eid el-Kabir celebration and comes shortly after the payment of May salaries for state and local government workers. The intervention will cover civil servants on grade levels 01 to 14 across various ministries, departments, and local government councils in Kano.

Governor Yusuf explained that this decision reflects his administration's commitment to the welfare and well-being of workers, whom he described as the backbone of public service in the state. He emphasized the need to support workers during the festive period, acknowledging the current economic realities and financial demands associated with the celebration.

The governor reaffirmed his administration's resolve to continue implementing people-oriented policies to improve worker welfare and boost public service efficiency.
