Nigerian Graduate Ozioma Eze Wins Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

Ozioma Sarah Eze, a graduate from the University of Nsukka with a degree in chemistry, announced on LinkedIn in September 2026 that she received a fully funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Scholarship for the Service Design Strategies and Innovations (SDSI) programme. This two-year course will take her to four European institutions: the Art Academy of Latvia, the University of Lapland in Finland, the Estonian Academy of Arts, and the Stockholm School of Economics.

Eze graduated in 2023 with a CGPA of 3.21 out of 5.00 and faced two years of rejections and immigration barriers while pursuing US admissions. With less than three weeks before the SDSI application deadline, she almost gave up but decided to apply, focusing on her future potential rather than her grades.

Out of nearly 1,000 applicants, she was one of only 15 awarded merit-based, fully funded spots. Eze credited alumni and mentors for their support in her application process and encouraged others to apply regardless of perceived qualifications.
