Seyi Makinde Names Former DSS DG as APM Running Mate

Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, announced the selection of a former Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) as the presidential running mate for the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (APM) during the party's elective National Convention held at the Rilwanu Adamu Square, Government House, Bauchi. Makinde stated that the challenge for the opposition ahead of the 2027 general election extends beyond merely winning power; it involves providing Nigerians with a genuine choice about their future.

He urged the newly elected national officers of the APM to collaborate with other opposition parties to present a credible alternative to Nigerians. Makinde stressed that the upcoming campaign should focus on measurable outcomes rather than mere political promises.

He highlighted that citizens should assess governance based on tangible improvements in their lives, such as purchasing power and security, rather than government announcements or statistics.
