Shettima Honors Musa Usman's Legacy in North-East Development

On Monday in Abuja, Vice President Kashim Shettima, represented by Aliyu Mudibo, acknowledged the significant contributions of Brigadier Musa Usman during the public presentation of the book "Service and Impact: Brigadier Musa Usman 1940–1991." Shettima stated that Usman was instrumental in establishing a functioning state and developing Maiduguri through investments in infrastructure such as roads, railways, and government institutions. He noted that successive administrations, including his own as former Governor of Borno State, have built upon Usman's foundational work.

Current Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum echoed Shettima's sentiments, emphasizing Usman's integrity and impactful governance, particularly in education, healthcare, and economic initiatives like the Ashaka Cement project. Shettima urged contemporary leaders to adopt selfless public service principles and focus on long-term development beyond political considerations, asserting that true leadership is measured by lasting benefits to the populace.
