Singapore Unveils Visa-Free Transit Rules for Travellers

Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has published guidelines for its 96-hour visa-free transit facility (VFTF), categorizing eligible nationals into two groups based on their country of origin. The first group includes nationals from India and selected citizens of the People's Republic of China (PRC), who must hold a valid onward ticket and a visa or long-term pass from specific countries, including Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with at least one month of validity remaining.

The second group consists of nationals from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine, who only need a valid onward air ticket. All transit travellers must meet entry requirements, and ICA officers will make final entry decisions.

Extensions of stay under the VFTF are not allowed.
