Soldier Wanted for Allegedly Selling Military Uniforms

The Nigerian Army has declared a soldier, identified as Amutu, wanted for allegedly selling military uniforms to terrorists. This announcement was made in a statement issued on Thursday by the Headquarters Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC), signed by Major Oluwatope Dorcas Aluko, the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations at NAOC Headquarters.

Amutu reportedly absconded from his unit on June 3, 2026. Preliminary investigations suggest his involvement in the unauthorized sale and distribution of military uniforms.

The Army has stated that efforts are underway to trace and arrest him, and that any disciplinary actions will follow existing military laws if the allegations are confirmed. The NAOC emphasized its zero tolerance for misconduct that could compromise the Army's integrity and national security.

The Army has called on the public to assist in providing credible information leading to Amutu's arrest, urging anyone with useful information to report to the nearest military formation or security agency.
