Soldier Missing, Civilians Killed in Kebbi Bandit Clash

A soldier has gone missing, and two Forest Guards along with two civilians were killed during an armed confrontation with bandits at the outskirts of Tudun Bicci village in the Danko-Wasagu local government area of Kebbi State. The local government chairman, Hon.

Hussaini Aliyu Bena, confirmed the incident in Birnin Kebbi, stating that some bandits also perished during the exchange of fire. Governor Nasir Idris has reportedly enhanced the security architecture in the local government area, which has contributed to a return to tranquility in communities previously facing security challenges.

The incident occurred while security operatives were on patrol and encountered bandits who had crossed the border from Zamfara State. The area of Tudun Bicci, located on the Kebbi-Zamfara border, is experiencing improved security, allowing farmers to resume their agricultural activities.

The local populace expressed gratitude to Governor Idris for his recent visit and support in bolstering security through adequate care for operatives and provision of necessary logistics.
