Soldier Linked to Fraud Arrested After Otti's Promise

A soldier, previously promised financial assistance by Abia State Governor Alex Otti, has been arrested in connection with alleged fraud. The state government disclosed this development through a statement from Special Adviser Ferdinand Ekeoma.

The arrest is linked to fraudulent activities purportedly committed some time ago. Ekeoma noted that the Abia State government had established personnel to provide medical support to soldiers who sustained injuries while serving.

Governor Otti's promise of support to Nigerian Army personnel was made out of compassion, and he has similarly extended assistance to various citizens, including security agents who have faced misfortunes in the course of their duties. Ekeoma reiterated that the state government fully supports all legitimate actions taken by the Nigerian Army and will continue to offer financial and medical humanitarian support to victims of misfortune, despite the current controversy surrounding the soldier's arrest.
