Soldiers Dismantle Illegal Arms Factory in Kebbi State

On Thursday, soldiers from the Troop Sector 2 Joint Task Force, part of Operation Fansan Yamma, conducted a military raid in Kebbi State, where they dismantled an illegal arms factory. The operation resulted in the recovery of five locally fabricated AK-47 rifles and the arrest of two suspects, who are alleged gun manufacturers supplying weapons to terrorist groups.

The raid was executed based on credible intelligence that identified a secluded compound used for manufacturing and stockpiling firearms. Lt.

Col. Aliyu Danja confirmed that the operation was carefully planned to ensure the suspects could not evade security detection.

The operation is part of a broader strategy to disrupt terrorist logistics and combat the proliferation of illicit weapons across Northwest Nigeria. Danja emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in these efforts and urged residents to support security agencies.
