Soldiers and CJTF Thwart Boko Haram Attack in Adamawa

On April 26, 2023, around 7:00 PM, Boko Haram fighters launched an attack on Tella Bala Village in Gombi Local Government Area, Adamawa State. The sudden assault caused panic among residents, prompting many to flee for safety as gunfire echoed throughout the area.

According to Zagagola Makama, the troops from the 232 Battalion in Gombi, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, quickly mobilized to the scene. The joint forces engaged the attackers in a gun battle, successfully repelling them and forcing their retreat.

As of the report, the extent of damage resulting from the attack had not been fully determined, and clearance operations were ongoing to assess the situation. Security operations have since taken control of the area to maintain a strong presence and prevent further attacks, aiming to restore normalcy to the community.
