Soldiers Rescue Kidnapped Woman in Kebbi State

Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, successfully rescued a kidnapped woman in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area, Kebbi State, and disrupted a planned ransom exchange. The operation was initiated following credible intelligence regarding the ransom payment for the woman, who had been abducted from her farm the previous month.

Lt Col Olaniyi Osoba, the acting spokesperson for the troops, reported that the troops mobilized swiftly to intercept the transaction. Upon sighting the advancing troops, the terrorists attempted to engage but retreated due to the troops' superior firepower, abandoning the hostage.

The victim was found unharmed and safely transported to reunite with her family. Following the rescue, the troops conducted thorough exploitation of the terrorists’ withdrawal route to secure the area.

Osoba assured residents that Operation FANSAN YAMMA would continue to apply pressure on terrorists and bandits in Kebbi State and urged the public to provide timely intelligence to assist in preventing criminal activities.
