Soludo’s Wife Celebrates Recovery of Abused 10-Year-Old

Dr. Nony Soludo, the First Lady of Anambra State, expressed immense joy at the discharge of 10-year-old Chiziterem from the hospital, where he received treatment for severe injuries allegedly inflicted by his guardians, Chisom Chukwuker and her husband Chukwudi.

The incident, which occurred in Awada, Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, gained widespread attention after a viral video showcased Chiziterem's extensive injuries, including burns. Following the public outcry, Governor Soludo intervened, and his wife took custody of the boy, pledging full responsibility for his rehabilitation and recovery.

During her visit to the hospital, Dr. Soludo expressed relief at Chiziterem's stabilization and highlighted society's duty to protect vulnerable children.

She also announced that the state would cover Chiziterem's medical bills and support his mother to ensure a better future for the family. The couple accused of the abuse have been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command.
