Ohanaeze Youth Warns Against Political Tensions in South East

The Ohanaeze Youth Wing, represented by Mazi Chika Art Adiel, issued a statement cautioning against the involvement of politicians from outside the South East in the region's political affairs. They emphasized that the South East should not be treated as a political battleground, as such actions could undermine inter-regional harmony and political maturity.

This response was partly triggered by comments from Arewa Youth, who alleged that Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State was leading efforts to oust Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State. The Ohanaeze Youth Wing warned against attempts to create divisions among leaders in the region, particularly with the 2027 general elections approaching.

They urged all parties to refrain from making reckless statements that could inflame tensions and distract from important governance issues, advocating for a respectful and democratic discourse.
