SSANIP Finalizes Agreement with Federal Government

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) announced the successful conclusion of its renegotiation with the federal government, finalizing and signing the renegotiated agreement after a week of intensive discussions. In a statement on Friday, the national president, Comrade Adebanjo Ogunsipe, commended members for their patience and support during the negotiations.

Philips, who led the union’s delegation, expressed gratitude to the federal government for its commitment to the welfare of senior staff in polytechnics and colleges of technology. He acknowledged the professionalism of the Yayale Ahmed Committee, which contributed to fostering industrial harmony.

Philips described the conclusion of the renegotiation as a “significant milestone” and emphasized the need for immediate implementation of the agreement. He stated, “This victory belongs to all of us,” urging the federal government to execute all aspects of the agreement without delay.

The union’s national executive council assured members that it would monitor the implementation process closely and keep them informed of developments.
