Stakeholders Reject National Telecoms Academy, Advocate DBI Strengthening

Stakeholders have rejected the establishment of a National Telecoms Academy in Nigeria, suggesting the strengthening of the existing Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) to address industry skill gaps. At a conference organized by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), industry experts emphasized the need to empower youth in the telecommunications sector.

The Vice President of Nigeria Infrastructure Fund highlighted the importance of expanding DBI's scope and capital investment to enhance indigenous talent and industry growth. The proposal to enhance DBI's mandate aims to bridge skill gaps and meet the evolving needs of the telecom market.
