Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle Demands $130,000 Salary

Eric Chelle, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has confirmed that he made specific demands to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) during contract negotiations, including a monthly salary of $130,000. Chelle's requests also included improvements in working conditions and a total of 19 demands.

He acknowledged that a document detailing these demands had leaked to the media, which prompted public inquiries. In an interview on the podcast "histoiresdefoot," Chelle clarified that the salary figure was quoted in dollars, not euros, and was intended to cover the wages of his technical crew.

The negotiations come after the Super Eagles secured a third-place finish in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in January. Chelle expressed uncertainty about the origins of the leaked document and emphasized the authenticity of the circulated information.
