Drug Supplier Arrested in Katsina with Illicit Drugs

On July 15, 2023, at approximately 5:00 PM, police operatives from the Central Police Station in Funtua arrested a suspect named Sundai Ez, known as "Dunbuj," based on credible intelligence. The operation led to the recovery of 500 tablets of an illicit drug, which was allegedly intended for distribution to criminal elements in the area.

Preliminary investigations indicated that Ez specializes in supplying drugs to armed bandit groups operating in and around Funtua. The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue to dismantle the drug distribution network and identify sources of supply.

Members of the alleged syndicate are expected to be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigations. Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the police public relations officer, commended the success of the operation, while the Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, Ali Umar Fage, reaffirmed the command's determination to disrupt criminal networks and urged residents to remain vigilant and provide credible information to assist security agencies.
