Tambuwal Defends ADC Against Claims of Bias Towards Atiku

Aminu Tambuwal, the former governor of Sokoto State and a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed concerns regarding the party's structure and recent defections during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today. He dismissed claims that the ADC was built to favor Atiku Abubakar, asserting that the recent exits were not driven by internal disagreements but rather by individual decisions.

Tambuwal emphasized that neither Peter Obi nor Rabiu Kwankwaso publicly accused the ADC of bias, countering speculation about the party's alignment. He also defended the credibility of David Mark, the ADC's chairman, stating that Mark's departure should not be interpreted as a question of fairness.

Tambuwal reiterated that all stakeholders within the ADC were involved in decision-making processes and highlighted the party's commitment to providing a platform for candidates in the 2027 general elections.
