Tamunosoye Karibi-George Achieves Top 12 at Miss World 2026

Nigeria’s Tamunosoye Karibi-George concluded her participation in the 73rd Miss World pageant held in Nha Trang, Vietnam, by finishing in the Top 12 on Saturday, 5 September 2026. She secured her place in the Top 40 after winning the Miss World Africa Top Model title during the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest.

Throughout the competition, Karibi-George, a 26-year-old communications specialist and former Miss World Nigeria winner, advanced to the Top 20 and ultimately reached the Top 12 in the live finale. The global title was awarded to Joheirry Mola of the Dominican Republic, who succeeded Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand.

Karibi-George’s advocacy initiative, Beyond Labels, aimed to support children living with disabilities in Nigeria, aligning with the pageant’s Beauty with a Purpose component. The event concluded with Spain’s Elisabeth Reynés as first runner-up and Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty as second runner-up.

This performance follows Joy Mojisola Raimi’s Top 20 placement in the previous edition.
