Nigeria Names Miss Tamunosoye Karibi-George for Miss World

Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, announced Miss Tamunosoye Karibi-George, Miss Nigeria 2026, as Nigeria's official representative for the 75th Miss World Pageant, taking place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5, 2026.

During a World Press Conference in Abuja, the Minister articulated that Miss Nigeria's participation serves as a strategic platform for cultural diplomacy, women empowerment, and youth development, showcasing Nigeria's rich cultural heritage. She stated, “This is not just about the crown...

This is cultural diplomacy.” The event will gather around 130 nations, providing Nigeria a chance to project its culture and identity globally. The Minister also mentioned a national reception on August 5, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, to honor Miss Nigeria.

She assured full support from the Ministry for Miss Nigeria's preparation and called on Nigerians to support her as she represents the nation.
