Technician Arrested for Alleged Rape of Minor in Ogun

Yusuf Adebayo, a technician, was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for the alleged rape of a seven-year-old girl in Ijebu Ode. The incident came to light when the victim's aunt, Odunayo, noticed blood stains on the girl's underwear while preparing to return her to her mother's house.

Upon inquiry, the girl disclosed that she had been raped by a neighbor, identified as Adebayo. Following the report, the victim's mother, Toyin, took her to the hospital where a doctor confirmed the rape.

Despite threats from a group allegedly associated with Adebayo, Toyin proceeded to report the matter to the police. Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Babaseyi Oluseyi, confirmed the arrest and stated that the suspect was transferred to the Gender and Domestic Violence Unit for further investigation.
