Kaduna Terrorists Demand 15 Million Naira Ransom

In Kaduna State, terrorists are currently holding a kidnapped priest and several others, insisting on a ransom of 15 million naira for their release. This situation follows a midnight attack on February 9, 2026, in which 32 individuals were abducted from the Kutaho Kugir community.

Reports indicate that two captives have been killed, with one victim's wife, who was heavily pregnant at the time of her abduction, having given birth shortly after being released on Easter Sunday. The kidnappers initially demanded 30 million naira but later reduced their demand to 15 million naira.

Local residents, including community leaders like Adam Solomon, are appealing for urgent intervention from the Kaduna State government and security agencies, citing economic hardships that hinder their ability to raise the ransom. The Kaduna State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the ongoing situation.
