Emir of Zazzau Launches Tree-Planting Initiative

The Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bamali, has launched a tree-planting initiative aimed at protecting the historic structure of the city’s ancient wall while promoting environmental sustainability. During the project, the Emir personally planted several trees around the ancient wall, emphasizing their importance in preserving the city’s heritage and creating a healthier environment for residents.

He encouraged the community, particularly young people, to take responsibility for caring for the trees and other natural resources. The Emir stated that the trees would provide shade, mitigate heat and erosion effects, and enhance the historic site's appearance.

Residents who participated in the initiative expressed their support and commitment to caring for the newly planted trees. Despite challenges posed by rapid urbanization, the Emir remains optimistic that the project will raise public awareness about environmental conservation and ensure the protection of Zazzau’s ancient wall for future generations.
