Emir Bamalli Shares Humble Inheritance and Leadership Views

Emir Bamalli of Zazzau disclosed that he inherited merely N11,000 and five pieces of clothing from his father, the late Magaji Zazzau, who did not own a personal car at his death. Despite holding senior roles in banking, diplomacy, and public service, Bamalli stated that he never prioritized wealth accumulation, influenced by his father's modest legacy.

He clarified that the only significant funds he had were from his allowances as Nigeria’s ambassador to Thailand, with concurrent accreditation to Myanmar. Bamalli rejected the idea that he had saved money for his ascension to the emirate, asserting that the emirship cannot be bought with wealth.

He currently owns one house in Zaria and another in Abuja. Emphasizing his leadership philosophy, he stated that true leadership is about service to the people and justice, not material wealth.

Bamalli expressed his desire to be remembered as a just leader rather than one focused on riches.
