Three Children Found Dead in Anambra Native Doctor's Home

A woman known as “Ezenwanyi,” described by residents as a native doctor, has been arrested following the discovery of three dead children at her residence in Umuoduba Village, Ideani, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The Anambra State Police Command reported that four children were found unconscious on August 5, with three confirmed dead by medical professionals, while the fourth child is receiving critical medical treatment.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, has caused panic within the community. Eyewitnesses indicated that the children, aged between six and 15 years, were not identified, and the circumstances of their deaths remain unclear.

The suspect was taken into custody by operatives from the Ogidi Divisional Police Headquarters, and the State Criminal Investigation Department will conduct a thorough investigation. The deceased children's remains have been moved to a mortuary.
