Timi Frank Alleges Plot to Abduct El-Rufai from Court

Timi Frank, a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed alarm over an alleged plot to abduct former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai from the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday. Frank stated that he received information suggesting that the Department of State Services (DSS) intended to arrest El-Rufai during his court appearance before Justice M.B.

Idris. This alleged operation is purportedly part of a broader plan by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to politically eliminate El-Rufai.

Frank claimed that the DSS's actions contradict an existing court order that mandates El-Rufai's custody in relation to ongoing investigations by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). He emphasized the need for civil society and religious leaders to monitor the situation closely, warning that the current administration's actions could heighten political tensions in the country.
