Tinubu Appoints Fayose as REA Chair and Others

On October 26, 2023, President Bola Tinubu announced 26 new appointments across 10 federal government agencies. Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, was appointed as the Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

Major General Junaid Bindawa (Rtd) was named the Head of the National Salaries Income and Wages Commission. The announcement was made by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga.

Fayose's board members include Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar, Engr. Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta, and Abba Abubakar Aliyu.

Additionally, Tinubu made eight appointments to the wages commission, including Major General Bindawa, who is a former member of the House of Representatives. Other notable appointments include Dr.

Mai Adamu Yau for Borno and Ginika Florence for Enugu. The appointments are effective immediately.
