Tinubu Approves 1,000 Forest Guards for Oyo Security

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in Oyo State to strengthen security measures in the area. This decision was made in collaboration with the Oyo State Government and was communicated to community leaders and lawmakers.

The approval includes the establishment of a military base in the region and the formation of a specialized security unit to enhance rescue capabilities. The delegation, led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, included national security adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Inspector General of Police Tunji Rilwan Disu, and Minister of Defence General Christoph Musa.

President Tinubu expressed deep concern over the recent abduction of a school teacher and students, assuring that all necessary support would be provided to security agencies to ensure their safe return. He also conveyed condolences to the family of the deceased teacher, Mr.

Mari Oyedokun, and promised that the family would not suffer.
