Tinubu Appoints Over 40 Key Officials in Kano

On Channels Television’s Politics Today, lawmaker Jibrin announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made over 40 key political appointments in Kano, emphasizing this as a demonstration of the president's commitment to the state. Notable appointments include Mariya Bunkure as Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Ganduje as Chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria board, and Nasiru Gawuna as Chairman of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria.

However, the claim of over 40 appointments could not be independently verified. Jibrin addressed public concerns regarding hardships faced by Nigerians, particularly the talakawa, attributing some issues to inadequate communication about government achievements, such as the completion of the Bichi railway station.

He commended the Kano State Government for its infrastructure projects, including rural roads and healthcare facilities. Jibrin acknowledged the persistent issues of poverty and hunger, stating that these challenges have affected Nigerians under successive administrations.
