Tinubu Reconstitutes Nigeria Police Academy Governing Council

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially reconstituted the governing council of the Nigeria Police Academy located in Wudil, Kano State, appointing a total of 16 members. The council will be chaired by Ibrahim Gaidam, the Minister of Police Affairs.

Other members include the Chairman of the Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police, who will represent the Federal Ministry of Education, Federal Ministry of Finance, and Federal Ministry of Justice. Additionally, six representatives have been appointed from each of the six geopolitical zones: Babagana Zannah (North East), Emmanuel Torkuma (North Central), Maigari Abati (North West), Dubem Obaz (South East), Ajiboger Toyin (South West), and Udom Udo Ekpoudom (South South).

The Deputy Inspector General of Police will serve as the command academy provost, while the registrar of the academy will act as the council's secretary.
