Tinubu Advocates for Stronger Partnership with Rotary

On a recent occasion in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emphasized the need for a stronger partnership between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Rotary International. This call was made during a dinner honoring Olayinka Hakeem Babalola, the newly inaugurated President of Rotary International.

Tinubu highlighted Rotary's significant role in global health initiatives, particularly in the eradication of polio, and acknowledged the organization's commitment over decades to combat diseases affecting children in Africa. He expressed readiness to expand collaboration with Rotary to improve primary healthcare, maternal and child health, basic education, literacy, and youth skill acquisition.

Babalola noted that Rotary's efforts have measurably changed lives and that the organization continues to play a pivotal role in Nigeria's journey towards a polio-free future. He also announced the launch of initiatives targeting malaria, diarrheal diseases, and pneumonia in various Nigerian states, aiming to build healthier communities.
