Tinubu Swears In New Law Reform Commission Chairman, Presides Over FEC Meeting

President Bola Tinubu recently swore in Dakas Dakas as the Chairman and Uchenna Eugene Okolocha as the Commissioner of the Nigeria Law Reform Commission (NLRC). The brief ceremony took place at the Council Chambers in the State House, Abuja, just before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Dakas expressed the Commission's commitment to overhauling the nation's legal framework by identifying and proposing reforms to outdated laws that no longer serve their purpose. Tinubu emphasized the need for collaboration between the NLRC, the National Assembly, and the executive arm to ensure that the legal system reflects contemporary realities.

During the FEC meeting, a minute of silence was observed to honor the late former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh, who passed away at the age of 78 on August 9, 2025.
