Tinubu Urged to Enhance Governance with New Summits

The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group (BAT-IG) has called on President Bola Tinubu to establish a monthly policy focus and quarterly leadership empowerment summits aimed at improving governance in Nigeria. In a statement released on Thursday and signed by Comrade Bamidele Atoyebi, the group emphasized that the primary challenge in governance is no longer resource availability but the need for a unified vision across all government tiers.

Atoyebi noted that the Tinubu administration has made significant economic reforms and increased allocations to states and local governments, but better coordination is essential for translating these resources into visible development. He proposed that the monthly policy focus should assign specific national development priorities, such as rural roads and healthcare, to all government levels.

Additionally, the quarterly summits would involve key political figures, including governors and ministers, to review progress and share best practices. Atoyebi referenced Tinubu's past success in Lagos State, asserting that similar initiatives could enhance accountability and project alignment at the national level.
