Agbese Critiques Opposition's Campaign Against Tinubu

Philip Agbese, the Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, condemned the campaign by opposition politicians regarding alleged U.S. government documents about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Speaking in Abuja on Wednesday, Agbese stated that this campaign aims to damage Nigeria's collective image internationally.

He noted that a Washington-based lobbying firm is involved in drawing attention to these allegations. Agbese emphasized that political disagreements should not come at the expense of Nigerians living and working abroad, as the circulation of unproven allegations could have far-reaching consequences.

He asserted that such actions harm not only President Tinubu but also every Nigerian seeking opportunities overseas. While acknowledging the right to criticize the administration, Agbese insisted that foreign governments should not be used as tools for domestic political disputes.

He called on President Trump to scrutinize the motives of those presenting themselves as advocates for Nigeria and to disregard attempts at blackmailing the Nigerian government.
