Federal Government Boosts Trade in Kano with Economic City Commissioning

The Federal Government has inaugurated the first phase of an economic city project on Bichi Road in Kano State. The project, aimed at enhancing trade and economic connectivity in the North West region, was commissioned by the Minister of Works, David Umahi, and Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai.

The project involves the construction of a 1.5-kilometer road with features like laterite soft stone base, reinforced concrete drainage structures, and flood management enhancements. The road is expected to improve access for commercial activities and accelerate socio-economic development in the area.

The project is part of the government's infrastructure development initiatives, with a focus on balancing regional growth. Additionally, the Federal Government, led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has embarked on 260 special intervention projects nationwide, with the North West geopolitical zone receiving the highest number of projects.
