Türkiye Introduces Free E-Visa for COP31 Participants

Türkiye has announced a free electronic visa specifically for participants attending COP31 in Antalya. This COP31 Visa is mandatory for all registered delegates, including those who typically do not require a visa to enter Türkiye.

The Turkish government stated that the visa will be issued through the official e-Visa platform. To obtain the visa, participants must complete a five-step application process: register on the COP31 e-Visa portal, upload a passport-size photograph in specified formats, and submit the application form for approval.

Once approved, delegates can download their visa directly from the portal and track their application status. This requirement applies universally, meaning that nationals from countries with visa-free access to Türkiye must also obtain the COP31 Visa.

The initiative aims to streamline entry for a large international gathering of government officials, climate negotiators, civil society representatives, and other stakeholders expected at the climate conference.
