Troops Arrest Boko Haram Informant in Adamawa State

On June 6, 2023, at approximately 4:00 PM, troops from the 144 Task Force Battalion apprehended an 18-year-old suspect named Mohan Hamadu during a routine market patrol in Madagali, Adamawa State. The arrest followed credible intelligence indicating that Hamadu was allegedly providing support and information to terrorist elements operating in the area.

Military sources disclosed that the operation aimed to identify and disrupt the support networks for Boko Haram within the battalion's area of responsibility. The suspect is currently in military custody for further investigation.
