Troops Thwart Attack on Manja Community in Plateau State

On Saturday, troops from Sector 8, Operation ENDURING PEACE, foiled an attempted attack on Manja community located in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The intervention followed reports of armed men planning an assault on the community.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama shared the development in a post on X on Sunday. The troops' prompt action forced the suspected attackers to retreat into nearby bushes with their cattle.

At approximately 4:12 p.m., the troops received another report of an attempt to infiltrate Manja village, prompting them to launch a pursuit operation against the attackers while maintaining a strong security presence around the community. Additionally, security forces conducted offensive patrols and clearance operations in the area to prevent further incursions.

Ongoing operations around Manja and neighboring communities aim to maintain pressure on the suspected attackers and ensure the safety of local residents.
