Troops Rescue Two Kidnap Victims in Plateau State
Troops of Sector 3, deployed in Bassa Local Government Area, successfully rescued Mr Ndubuisi Onuigbo following credible information about his abduction at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25. The operation was part of ongoing efforts by Operation Enduring Peace to combat criminal activities in Plateau State.
In a separate operation on Wednesday, August 26, troops of Sector 2 encountered suspected terrorists during a patrol in Kukawa village, Kanam Local Government Area. The troops pursued the suspects, leading to the discovery and rescue of another victim, Mallam Sambo Abdullahi.
Both victims were debriefed and subsequently reunited with their families. Major General Maxwell Dangana, Commander of Operation Enduring Peace, urged residents to remain calm and to support security forces with relevant information to enhance their operations aimed at restoring peace in the state.
