Troops Foil ISWAP Raid in Borno State, No Casualties

On July 10, 2026, troops from the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai, led by Captain Muhammad Goni, successfully repelled multiple coordinated infiltration attempts by ISWAP terrorists in Borno State. The incidents occurred in the communities of Muna Garag, Shuwari Village, and Ajilari Cross, located approximately 6-12 km from the Maiduguri city center.

The terrorists attempted to infiltrate these areas between 12:20 AM and 2:30 AM but were swiftly detected by the troops, who engaged them with accurate firepower, effectively frustrating their mission. Additionally, two separate infiltration attempts were thwarted in Miringa and Dutsen Kura, where the terrorists fled after encountering fierce resistance.

The troops conducted clearance operations to consolidate their control over the area and prevent further threats to nearby communities. No casualties were reported among the troops during these operations, which maintained stability in the region.
