UDUS Dismisses Staff Over Alleged NYSC Scam

The Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) has taken disciplinary action against a staff member from the registry department, dismissing them due to their involvement in an alleged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation scam. This decision was made during the university council's 176th meeting held on April 1, 2026.

According to a statement from the director of public relations, the staff member was found guilty of gross misconduct. The dismissal is effective immediately following the council's decision.

The university emphasized its commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy towards serious misconduct and warned that anyone found culpable of similar actions would face appropriate disciplinary measures.
