Ugochinyere Expands Electricity Initiative in Ideato

Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, the member representing Ideato Federal Constituency of Imo State in the House of Representatives, has expanded his "Operation Light Up Ideato" initiative to include three additional communities: Ogwume, Dikenafai, and Akpulu. The initiative involves the installation of 500KVA transformers and other electricity infrastructure to enhance power supply and tackle persistent electricity issues.

With this expansion, a total of seven communities have now benefited from the project, following earlier interventions in Umuopia, Obodoukwu, Abukwa, and Umukegwu. The ongoing efforts also include the installation of electricity cables and essential components for effective power distribution.

Ugochinyere, who chairs the House Committee on Downstream Petroleum, emphasized that this initiative is a sustained intervention, with plans to reach more communities in Ideato North and South. His media office stated that additional communities with critical power needs will be considered in future phases, reflecting Ugochinyere's commitment to addressing infrastructure deficits in the region.
