UK Announces 64 Countries for 2026 Commonwealth Fellowships

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the United Kingdom has published a list of 64 countries eligible for fellowships under the Commonwealth Fellowship Programme for the 2026/2027 academic year. The programme consists of two categories: Commonwealth Professional Fellowships, designed for mid-career professionals from eligible Commonwealth nations seeking professional development placements at UK host organizations, and Commonwealth Academic Fellowships, aimed at university lecturers and academic staff with a PhD employed at universities in eligible countries.

This latter category focuses on enhancing academic skills, knowledge exchange, and fostering long-term academic collaborations at UK institutions. Candidates from eligible Commonwealth nations, excluding the UK, can apply.

The full list of eligible countries includes nations from Africa, the Caribbean, the Pacific, and beyond, such as Bangladesh, India, and Australia, among others.
