UK Updates British Citizenship Application Forms for 2026

UK Visas and Immigration, part of the Home Office, has released an updated collection of application forms for British citizenship, with revisions made throughout 2026. The collection includes various citizenship routes such as naturalisation, registration as a British national, and applications related to the right of abode in the UK.

The naturalisation form AN was last revised on 21 July 2026, alongside form MN1 for registering a child under 18 as a British citizen. Other forms were updated earlier in the year, including those for stateless persons on 25 February 2026.

More recent updates include form EM for registering as a British citizen on 4 August 2026, and revisions to forms for British Overseas Territories citizens on 6 August 2026. A child citizenship fee waiver request form was last updated on 12 February 2026.

UK Visas and Immigration advises applicants to contact the department if uncertain about eligibility or the appropriate form to use.
