Umahi Claims Obi Will Not Win 2027 Election, Backs Tinubu

On a visit to Anambra, Dave Umahi, the Minister of Works, asserted that he has told Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), that he will not win the 2027 election. Umahi emphasized that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) are working together to secure President Bola Tinubu's victory in Anambra State.

During his inspection of the Obosi-Ogbunike-Ogidi interchange road, he claimed that Anambra is a stronghold for Tinubu, citing the success of progressive forces in the 2025 governorship election. Umahi urged voters in the South-east to support Tinubu's administration, arguing that the region cannot produce a president solely with its votes.

He rejected claims of marginalization of the South-east by the federal government, stating that the Tinubu administration has been supportive of the Igbo people. Umahi called on citizens to participate in the upcoming elections and vote for the APC.
